It all started with an off-the-cuff remark I made when I bumped into an old schoolmate named Richard...

He worked hard all his life to get his degree, and now he's working harder than before at his new job at which he slaves away 10 hours a day, and makes a whopping $2300 a month.

I don't mean to boast, but just by sending one or two emails, and I'd have made MORE than his ANNUAL income, and I wouldn't need more than fifteen minutes to write my email.

He on the other hand would have to clock over 2500 work hours to make that kind of money.

If you think that's unfair, I'm sorry to say that's the kind of world we live in.

The Universe Ain't Gonna Provide...

I hate to sound like a wet blanket and put a damper on your warm fuzzy feelings.

I don't know about you, but I'm a pragmatic realist.

I just can't look through rose-tinted lenses, praying and meditating that things will hopefully turn out the way I want them to.

I have yet to see a giant hand descend from the sky, lovingly handing me a nice chunk of change so that I never have to worry financially anymore.

I mean, have you had the wool pulled over your eyes with all this baloney that supposedly helps you get rich?

Breathe from your diaphragm to activate your 'life-force'  (what the hell does it have to do with getting rich? You can 'prana' and 'chakra' all you want, your bank account will still be the same.)

Follow a strict diet, meticulously measuring your carb/protein ratio. ( I wanna get rich, not become a model or bodybuilder. Heck I know a lot of Internet millionaires who are fat.)

Save your way to riches (This is the most ridiculous concept every put forth in my opinion. You can't save if you have trouble making ends meet. The ONLY solution is to make more. A whole lot more!)

Let go, and let god. (You're definitely a goner if you do that. Try it.)

Feng Shui. (Seems like only the rich believe in it. Look, I am all for engineering an optimal environment that will help you in your wealth building efforts, but simply re-arranging furniture and hoping that you'll get rich by doing so ain't gonna cut it)
